HP-UX 11i Secure Shell provides a secure channel for remote login, file transfer, and TCP/IP port forwarding and X11 forwarding.

WU-FTPD is the FTP daemon for HP-UX 11i systems for IPv4 and IPv6 networks. FTP (File Transfer Protocol) can be used to transfer files over the network
- Can run as a standalone daemon improving performance
- Better implementation of virtual hosting
- New options in configuration file, like sending email on upload, timeout specifications, specifying the port to be within a particular range for passive connections
- Introduction of a new utility, namely privatepw, to edit the /etc/ftpd/ftpgroups file

SNMP Emanate subagent provides support for some of the IPv6 MIBs. This allows statistics related to the IPv6 interfaces to be obtained and manages some of the IPv6 interface attributes. The SNMP subagent can be obtained by installing PHSS-26679 under the product name Emanate SNMP Agent Release 14.2.
