Patch types

PHCO

PHKL

PHNE

PHSS
HP-UX COmmand patch

HP-UX KerneL patch

HP-UX NEtworking patch

HP-UX SubSystem patch
(PHSS patches on this page are specific to WLM or PRM, which WLM uses)
The patches listed are the patches available at the time of release. The listed patches may have since been superseded. If a patch you need has been superseded, download the superseding patch.

Minimize the number of system reboots when installing kernel patches (PHKL_* patches) by creating a software depot. For information on creating a depot, see the release notes for HP-UX WLM A.02.00 or later, available at docs.hp.com/hpux/netsys/.

Installation Notes

Before installing patches
  1. Read each patch's installation instructions

Each patch comes with a .txt file named using the patch number. For example, patch PHSS_26845 has a file named PHSS_26845.txt. Be sure to read the "Special Installation Instructions" section of the .txt file for each patch you are going to install.

  2. Shut down WLM:
    # wlmd -k
After installing patches

Restart WLM using the most recent configuration:
# wlmd -A
