This session presents the processes and tools used to transition customers from HP-UX PA-RISC to HP-UX 11i on Itanium. It includes a hands-on demonstration of the tools.

Audience

This Webcast is intended for software developers working with the HP-UX operating system - both in independent software vendor and end user companies - and the channel partner and sales teams. In particular, this course is for developers or sales teams who will be working on migrating from HP-UX on HP 9000 systems to HP-UX 11i on HP Integrity servers.

Objectives

This Webcast will introduce people to: the stages in transition life cycle; why one should transition from HP-UX on HP 9000 systems to HP-UX 11i v3 on HP Integrity server; and an overview of tools that can help in such a transition.

Speaker biography

Adharsh Praveen is a senior software engineer in HP Tru64 UNIX team. He has been working on HP Tru64 Internet Express and related technologies for the last four years.

During this time, Adharsh was involved in multiple migration projects for migrating Tru64 UNIX applications to HP Integrity servers. He is currently working to enhance HP’s portfolio of Software Transition Kits with tools to support transition to HP-UX 11i v3.
