This talk will cover the set of the pthreads tunes that made it into the HP-UX 11i v3 release. It will also discuss some of the approaches on debugging multi-threaded application performance bottlenecks. Finally, we will see some of the work we are currently doing in pthreads area to provide better out-of-the-box experience.

Vasudevan Sangili is an engineer in the HP-UX core kernel group within EKSL. He has previously worked on the pthreads development and is currently working with the pthreads team on the performance issues.
