Webcast description

This Webcast gives an introduction to the Dynamic nPartitions feature available with HP-UX 11i v3 Update 1 and later.  The Webcast explains the operation of the Dynamic nPartitions commands and outlines various scenarios in which the feature is valuable.  Three specific scenarios are illustrated in step-by-step detail.

Agenda

  • Background for Dynamic nPartitions
  • Definition of Dynamic nPartitions operations
  • Scenarios for using Dynamic nPartitions
  • Illustration of common use cases
  • Summary

Audience

This Webcast is intended for system managers working with the HP-UX operating system. In particular, this course is for administrators who want to understand the operation of the new Dynamic nPartitions feature.  The audience should already understand the existing static nPartitions mechanisms.  The talk will explain how to use Dynamic nPartitions to enhance the value of partitionable servers.

Objectives

After viewing the Webcast, the audience will understand the scenarios in which Dynamic nPartitions is a valuable tool and the command sequences to implement those scenarios.
